Research activities in the lab are dedicated to the development of new optical techniques and technologies based on photonics, plasmonics, nonlinear optics, optical forces, and photochemistry. Essentially multidisciplinary, ongoing research projects deal with nanoscale optical trapping and manipulation, ultraviolet nanophotonics and nanoimaging technologies, photochemistry for nanofabrication and chiral light-matter interactions, plasmonic nanoantenna engineering to focus the light far beyond the diffraction limit and control light-matter angular momentum transfer at the nanoscale.
